Seasons greetings from those of us here at Black Sheep / Dumb Records headquarters! Today we are bringing you a special feature film put together by our friends in the band Kowabunga! Kid. They star in this new 8 1/2 minute long feature film about saving Christmas that we think some of you might enjoy. Check it out on the player below.
We’ll be back with our regular content (hopefully) tomorrow! Don’t forget that today and tomorrow is the last day to vote in our end of the year music poll, and we will be posting those results shortly!
It was last month now when legendary St. Louis ska-punk outfit MU330 took the Black Sheep stage and performed for the first time in Springfield in close to two decades, the very day after releasing their first new song in 13 years. Today we are bringing you some video of that performance. We have a video of MU330 performing two of their songs – “KKK Highway” and “Stagnant Water.” Check out that video on the player embedded below.
Also check out a list of videos shot at Black Sheep over the past twelve years on our vids/pics page.
Today we bring you a video of one of the greatest bands of all time performing on our very own Black Sheep state last month. That is “It’s Me: Ross” the band from Columbia, Missouri. No one was at the show so we are sharing this video with all of you so you can almost experience the same live music concert experience from your very own couch. The song is called “I Got The Blues” which comes from the band’s second full length album you can find in its entirety right here. Find the video on the player below. The show was also with Rella, Bottom Bracket, and Special Death.
Also check out our vids/pics page for a good amount of live performances caught on video at The Black Sheep from over the years.
Today we bring you a video of the Chicago-based hardcore band RASH performing at Black Sheep earlier this summer on July 22nd. Check out that video on the player below. The show was also with bands Stick People and Undone. Also find some of RASH’s recorded music right here.

Today we bring you a video of the band Runaway Brother from Cleveland, Ohio performing at Black Sheep earlier this month on July 8th. We can still not get over how incredible it was to have bands Food & Money and Backwards Day perform at Black Sheep for the first time in 35 years and 23 years together here at the beginning of this month. Today we bring you a video of one of the songs from Food & Money’s set, which you can find on the player below. The song is called “No Bones” and is the first song the band ever wrote as far back as the 1970’s. Thanks to Gordon Chang, video of Food & Money’s entire set from that night is also available right here. We have a few photos from that night compiled onto a flickr album right here.
Also within the past few days, the entire new Food & Money LP that has been released by Alona’s Dream Records has been made available online! You can stream all 21 songs of the record (some unreleased) right here or also on the player below. The record will be available very soon at Dumb Records.
We do have some video footage of the incredible two reunion sets that took place at Black Sheep this past weekend for any of you who were as silly enough as to miss out on the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Food & Money or Backwards Day. Today we have a snippet of Backwards Day performing one of their early hit tunes “Revolutionary” at Black Sheep this past Saturday during the show. You can check out that video below.
Expect a video of Food & Money and also some photos of the show to turn up at some point soon. You can also probably expect a full video of all four sets from that night to become available on Gordon Chang’s Macomb Events youtube channel later on. Also check out our vids/pics page for a list of videos taken over the years at Black Sheep.
