Low and behold, we now have an official band page up and running on our site for Foam Fingers, the new-ish Springfield punk band whose first release we shared with you all yesterday. You can check out that new page right here where you can stream music, read up more about the band and find links to all of their social medias. Foam Fangers don’t have any Black Sheep shows lined up at the moment, but you can look out for more in the future.

Looks like our current Springfield band count is about 50-some and we still have some new projects to make pages for! Check out our current bands page right here. Do you play in a Springfield band or musical act and have not yet set up a page on our site? Email us at blacksheepspringfield@gmail.com and we will work with you to set something up!

It’s Monday night, and it’s probably been a minute since we’ve added any new band pages to our website – so here is our most recent addition. We have a new page for the new alternative / blues / indie / genre-fusing band Rather Dashing. Check out their new page on the Black Sheep site right here. There you can find links to all of the band’s websites and stream their seven-track release which came out earlier this year. Rather Dashing have not played a show at Black Sheep yet – they did perform at Downhome Music Festival at the end of last month.

Check out any of our 40+ active band pages on our site right here. Do you play in an active Springfield band or are you a solo musician and have yet to set up a page on our site? We would love to hear from you! Reach out to us at blacksheepspringfield@gmail.com and we will work with you to set something up.

New Band Pages: Master Bastard

Guess what, we are currently working hard to update the current bands portion of our website. This includes clearing out those bands/projects that haven’t played shows in many months, and adding all of the new and talented groups that have been popping up over town and nearby. The first of those pages we want to direct your attention to is one we made for Master Bastard! Master Bastard first played Black Sheep for our last Battle of the Bands back in October, and they won the judicial category and have since played at Black Sheep a few more times and also have recorded up at Southtown Sound. Check out their new bandpage where you can stream their release Mouth Breather right here.

There are no Master Bastard shows lined up as far as we can tell but keep an eye and ear out for more this summer! We’ve ended up with what looks like a total of thirty six current band pages right now, you can check out all of those right here on our site. It is looking like we have accumulated hundreds of past band pages, check those out right here! Do you play in a local band or project that has not set up a page with us? Shoot us an email at blacksheepspringfield@gmail.com and we will work with you to set something up!

It’s been a minute since we’ve added any new band pages on our site, and there are certainly plenty of new bands and musical acts in Springfield that we have not yet covered on our site so we better get back on it! Today we have a page set up for independent hip hop artist who has been making a splash in our city for a minute – Nefarious Cloud. Check out the new Nefarious Cloud page on our site where you can read a pretty lengthy bio on the artist as well as stream some of his music. No Nefarious Cloud shows are lined up at Black Sheep at the moment.

Check out any of our 50+ current band pages on our site right here. Do you play in a band here in town that has not yet gotten a page set up with us? We would love to hear from you – send us an email to blacksheepspringfield.com and we will work with you in setting one up!

Good morning and welcome to another week. This week’s featured band with a new band page on our site is “The Little Death.” They describe themselves as that “self-deprecation emo-indie rock” and you can find more about the band as well as check out one of their music videos on their newly created band page right here. The Little Death do not have any shows lined up at Black Sheep as of right now, but keep an eye out in the near future!

Our current total current band count in Springfield by band pages on our site is now at 45. (We cleaned up the list a bit this weekend). Check those all out on our current bands page right here. Hey, happy Monday everyone! Thanks to all who came out to our roundtable meeting yesterday to discuss the future of Black Sheep and the future of live music as we know it. Let’s start the week off with another featured band/project – this one has been around for a while, shame on us for taking this long to get a page up! This is Animals With Human Names – the hip hop project of Jim Whitehead also in Say Something, Statues of the Dead, and numerous other bands throughout the ages through pretty much all of Black Sheep’s twelve years of being a venue. Head over to the newly created band page right here to find out more about the project and hear some tunes. And be on the lookout for some AWHN shows here in the future.

Good morning everyone and welcome to a brand new week! Today we are bringing you a new band page for the new Springfield project Glower. (Not pronounced “Glow” – er, but instead that “ow” as in “ow!” or “cow”, you know?). This new Springfield duo features Kristin Walker and Kate Ridge (pictured above), and sounds like they have also recently added a drummer as a third member. To find out more about the band as well as a link to some demos, check out their band page right here. Glower do not have any shows currently lined up, but be on the lookout very soon.
